A Holiday Message from Sally

As we celebrate this season of love and giving, I find myself reflecting on the remarkable journey Cat By Cat Inc. has taken over the past five years as a 501(c)(3) organization.
When we officially incorporated in 2020, we truly hit the ground running. We had no formal business plan, no established adoption process, and no funding—just determination, compassion, and a shared belief that every cat deserves safety, care, and a chance at a better life. Thanks to the support of our community, volunteers, and early adopters, we made it through that first year and laid the foundation for everything that followed.
By our second year, it became clear how much help we would need to grow and reach more people—and especially more cats in need. Every volunteer who joined us, every partner who said “yes,” and every supporter who stepped forward helped shape Cat By Cat Inc. into the responsive, life-saving organization it is today.
My own journey in animal welfare began 37 years ago, at age 15, when I joined a small rescue group in my hometown. That early experience lit a spark in me—a passion that has guided my life’s work ever since—and it continues to fuel the mission and spirit of Cat By Cat.
I am incredibly grateful, humbled, and inspired by all we’ve accomplished together. And as we enter this season of giving, hope, and warmth, I am even more excited for what the future holds—for the cats we rescue, the families we unite, and the communities we serve.
Thank you for being part of this mission. From our entire Cat By Cat family to yours, we wish you a peaceful, joyful holiday season and a bright new year ahead.
Warmly,
Sally Merritt-Braciak
Director, Cat by Cat Inc.

You came into my life in twenty twenty and helped me through a lot.You inspired me, you taught me so much, and most of all, you helped the kittens and cats that I brought to you for help.
We got so many spay & neutered, the ferals outside some lovable cats that we had adapted out. I socialized the kittens, and you took it in your hands to let them get adapted out through cat by cat. And that was many cats, and I did what I could to help pay for the cats. I tried to do what I could. But you're amazing. Your team is amazing. All of you and I wish you guys a very Merry Christmas.
